Does it feel like everything around you is screaming Christmas!?! Everywhere you look: store fronts, malls, street light poles, front lawns, whole houses, television, people’s clothing choices, the grocery aisles, your mail, the banners on your computer screen, the radio, ringtones on cell phones. The song, “It’s the MOST wonderful time of the year!” plays at every opportunity. CHRISTMAS IS EVERYWHERE!
How cool would it be if all these things/people/places were not just proclaiming the Christmas holiday, but the Savior Whom the “holiday” represents!?
Psalm 150 says the word ‘praise’ 13 times in 6 short verses and ends with “Let EVERYTHING that has breath praise the LORD!” That doesn’t leave room for many to NOT praise! Think about everything that has breath: EVERY person (no matter what they think of God), and every animal!
If you are breathing, PRAISE GOD! A simple, “THANK YOU GOD!” will do, but think about all you have, all you are, all that is around you! So many blessings! So many praises!
As you go about ‘life’ the next few days, take a moment to feel yourself breathe. As you breathe, PRAISE THE LORD!
Psalm 150, Psalm 100, Psalm 108:1-5, Psalm 95:1-7
Our week of EG camp ended last Saturday, July 23rd! It was a great week of fun activities, laughter, Scripture memorized, Bible lessons and Vespers heard, lots of singing, and good conversations with counselors and staff!!
It rained only on Monday of the week which allowed us to have all of our outdoor activities the rest of the week. It was hot BUT not as hot as in the Philly area. We are in a shaded area with lots of trees and it does not get as hot as in the city or suburbs.
There was no illness!!! This is a praise especially since the camp runs a day camp program the same time that we are running our camp program. They had 60 children there at the same time we had our 46 girls there.
We had one little who was homesick but she remained at camp and had fun in all of her activities.
The girls had a great time in their activities. We had Photography, Cookie/cake Decorating, Crafts, Play and Create, Card-making, Drama, Creative Writing, First aid, and all of the outdoor activities–the Pool, Archery, Air riflery, Climbing Wall, Goliath, Challenge Courses, Hiking, Creek Walking–and Vespers every evening with a campfire!
A bunch of our campers climbed all the way to the top of a 50 foot Sycamore tree and ring the bell.
Good discussion during our Bible lessons and leadership times with Junior Leaders.
Four of the 10 Junior Leaders graduated from the program on Friday night!!
Bible classes were great.
Over 20 of the campers and 15 staff memorized the memory passage for the week. So happy that God’s Word was hidden in hearts.
Every day at meals, the girls were asked if there was something they had done that morning or afternoon that they had never done before. It was so much fun to hear the various answers. Going in a canoe for the first time. Learning to shoot a bow and arrow for the first time. Climbing the tree or Goliath or the climbing wall. So many fun experiences. There is nothing like camp!
Our mission project was to support several families in war torn Ukraine. So far we raised $1086.00! PRAISE GOD.
It is the Lord who has begun the work in the lives of the girls and staff, and He will continue it until the day that He comes for us. We planted–God will bring the increase. Keep praying for the girls!
Thanks for being a part of camp, by your prayers and your financial support! God bless!
What a blessing our camp week was. If you would like to read more about the fun that we had, check out Camp 2022 Update above, or in PBnJ Blog.

Stay tuned for updates about next year!
Please plan to join us on our next women’s weekend, February 24-26, 2023.
Here are a few highlights from 2022:
We had a fabulous, worship and fellowship time at Black Rock Retreat Center in Quarryville, Pennsylvania.
GOD—He never changes! “Jesus Christ IS the same yesterday and today and forever.” Because He never changes, we can know important unchanging truths about…Who He is, What He wants, How He works, How He relates to me: “My God is Still the Same”.
“Great time with women of faith, wonderful fellowship, supreme bible teaching.”
“Thank you to everyone that planned this weekend. It was awesome. And thank you for making me feel appreciated and loved!”
“I would recommend this conference in a heartbeat! What a fabulous time of friendship, rest, encouragement, faith building, and truth building. Supportive sisters, united together for the same purpose; to grow, walk and develop our relationship with God.”
Please consider attending next year, February 24-26. We look forward to serving you!
