Doctrinal Statement

I. The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Bible consists of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, and that they are verbally inspired by God, inerrant in their original writings, totally trustworthy and accurate in every subject they touch, and the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

II. The Trinity

We believe that there is but one only living and true God, revealed to man in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the same in substance, of equal rank, power and glory.

III. The Person and Work of Christ

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ and that He is the only Son of God who became Man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and as such He lived an impeccable, sinless life.

We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice for all mankind, but that only those who truly believe in Christ are justified on the grounds of His shed blood, and that our justification is fully and finally attested by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted to the right hand of God the Father where, as High Priest, He is our intercessor and advocate, and the only mediator between God and man.

We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Bride, the Church.

We believe in the glorious return of the Lord Jesus to establish His kingdom on earth, where He shall reign in righteousness and perfect justice.

IV. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the personal Holy Spirit, who is of equal authority in the eternal Godhead. He convicts men of sin and eternal judgment. He regenerates those who believe in the atoning work of Christ on the Cross. He indwells every believer and sanctifies them to holy living. He keeps and empowers every believer for true service for God. We believe that He is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth for daily living. We do not accept the teaching that speaking in tongues is associated with either the initial receiving of the Holy Spirit at the new birth, or as evidence of His fullness.

V. Satan

We believe that Satan is an angel with personality, and is the original author of sin, and the cause of the fall of man; that he is the opened and declared enemy of God and man. We believe that Satan and those angels that allied themselves with him shall be punished in the eternal Lake of Fire.

VI. Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, that man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is eternal separation from God. All men are born with a completely depraved nature that they received from Adam, and are absolutely incapable of pleasing God or delivering themselves from their eternal ruin.

VII. The Means of Salvation

We believe in one and only one condition for eternal salvation; that by grace, through faith alone in the blood sacrifice, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, we are born again of the Holy Spirit and become the children of God, and are kept by the power of God.

VIII. The Church

We believe the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is composed solely of those who have been

redeemed and washed in the blood of the eternal Son of God, that they have been regenerated and sealed by the Holy Spirit, and saved to serve the living God.

We believe it is the responsibility and privilege of all those who are saved to seek to live a holy life, to separate themselves from, and forsake everything that might dishonor God, or discredit His cause, or weaken their testimony.

We believe that the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ is to give the Gospel to every person throughout the entire world, and that this is still incumbent upon every believer.

We believe in the spiritual union of all who have been born again by the grace of God through a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.

We believe in the Holy Spirit wrought unity of the Church, and that the basis of her visible fellowship and cooperation is the inerrant Word of God and the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible.

IX. The Eternal State

We believe the Bible teaches that all those who through faith are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in full enjoyment of God's presence, and that those who through impenitence and unbelief refuse to accept God's offer of mercy will spend eternity in everlasting punishment.
